
The “International Review of Food Science and Technology” (IRFS&T) is the annual publication of the International Union of Food Science & Technology (IUFoST). This global countrymembership organisation is the voice of food science and technology worldwide. IUFoST aims to strengthen food science and technology’s role in helping secure the world’s food supply and eliminate world hunger.
“To think global and to act local” is the major challenge of Food Industry nowadays. Economic growth is achieved with successful local ethnic food as well as with products matching the “taste of the world”. The insight to recent developments of food science and technology becomes the competitive edge. This knowledge is provided by the International Review of Food Science and Technology. It covers all current trends in science and regulatory affairs like nanotechnology or health claims and questions of daily practice: aspects of production, processes and packaging in the food and beverage industries and their component suppliers are on the list of topics.
The International Review of Food Science and Technology is read by IUFoST members and the audience attending international conferences and trade fairs world wide like engineers, product developers, managing directors, factory managers, and managers in R&D, project planning, production, and marketing. The needs of societies in different parts of the world with specific conditions of culture, economic power and demographics are described by local opinion leaders.
